More COVID-19 Vaccines are coming to Texas



The Texas Department of State Health Services stated that 708,460 first doses of the two-dose Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have been approved and sent to 928 providers in 129 Texas Counties. They also announced that 570,520 second doses have been ordered. These first and second doses will be sent to pharmacies, federally qualified health centers, and dialysis centers.


The Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been cleared by the CDC, so they should have vaccines ready as early as this coming weekend. More the 36% of Texans have received at least the first dose while more than 24% of Texans have been given both doses and is fully vaccinated. COVID cases are reportedly down and below the average as of Friday, April 23, 2021. So if you have not yet received your COVID vaccine and plan to get one, more vaccines are in route to Texas and providers.
